2017 Noosa Winter Hillclimb ResultsThanks goes to all the volunteers who gave their valuable time to enable this hillclimb to be a great success.
The 10th Noosa Hillclimb Winter Challenge was another success story for amateur motorsport with a large entry of 157 cars covering a diverse range of classes to keep spectators entertained. Good weather and the attraction of Dick Johnson and his Tru-Blu Falcon made for a large spectator crowd on both days.Featuring historic, classic and modern car classes there was something for everyone’s interest. Fastest to get up the 1.5km twisty track was Michael Von Rappard in his 1992 Dallara 1.3 Lt Hayabusa in a time of 50.55 seconds which was nearly 6 seconds quicker than the second placegetter Rielly Brook in a 2lt Formula Renault 2.Fastest Historic car was Mark Trenoweth in his XJS Jag Sports Sedan in 58.62 seconds and third outright overall.Regularity was won by Stephen Callaghan.The photos below showcase the Noosa Hillclimb Winter Challenge.Please support these photographers who share images with HRCC.
